Makenna's Young Womens Project a Success

Six hundred pounds of clothing and tooth brushes distributed to families in need in Ecuador.

Otavalenian Dance Performance

While on vacation to Ecuador, we visited Tom's friend in Otavalo. He invited us to a private dance performance in which his daughter performed. It was very enjoyable.

We went to the post office to start the process to get our passports for our trip to Ecuador this July. Makenna did pull her hair back for the passport picture.;)

we are so happy with the new arrival into our family, Neils Isaac Llewellyn. He was a great Christmas gift to us all, born on Christmas day.

Erik had a great surprise birthday party. We all had a great time.

Erik had a 9th Birthday Party on Saturday, April 12. All his friends surprised him when he walk in through the room. Everyone had a great time.

Do you want to help?

Tommy, Liz, Tylor and Makenna are going to Ecuador this summer for about 1 1/2 weeks. We are all excited about the sight seeing and shopping we will be able to do. Makenna has decided to do a service project for her young womens project and take clothes for a foundation that helps children that are very poverty stricken. This foundation (FAHUM) pays tuition for these children that other wise would not have an education. It was founded by a couple of LDS woman that wanted to help these families. Not all the children are LDS, that is not a pre requisite to receive help, but keeping your grades up are, to remain in the program. Holly (of course, would think of this) being a dental assistant suggested we contact our dentist and see about getting toothbrushes through his rep. to take down. Thanks to our (VERY GOOD) dentist Tim Gailey we have a start with about 100 toothbrushes he is donating to the cause. Thanks Tim! We are also taking Holly and Matt's idea and taking white shirts and dress pants for priesthood holders to have for sunday services. Dresses for the young woman would be nice also. Makenna has received a lot of donations from our ward, there is baby clothes that has been donated, some really cute stuff but FAHUM does not deal with babies. Fortunately we have a friend from Ecuador that is a pediatric surgeon that can help us with those donations. We really don't need anymore baby stuff but school age kids cloths would be nice.

Makennas choir concert

Makenna will be having a choir concert soon.
It will be on March 10th, at 7:00 pm at Mountain View High School Auditoruim.
We encourage all that can make it to come, to enjoy some incredible music by the Poston choir.

We were able to have our grandkids over on Sunday. Emma our 3 yr old grand daughter came up to me and said, "Nana, I want a wabbit. Will you buy me one for my birthday?" Papa was sitting next to me and said, "Emma, say rrrabbit." Emma then tried with a lot of concentration, and said, "rrrwabbit". Then Papa said again, "rrrrabbit" and Emma repeated "rrrwabbit." Papa said "rrrabbit", Emma then said with out missing a beat, "I'll just call it a bunny." Papa and I had a great laugh. What a smart girl to outsmart Papa!
